The Public Health professionals and programs of Albemarle Regional Health Services are dedicated to disease prevention and the promotion of a healthy environment to reduce morbidity, mortality, and disability through quality service, education, and advocacy. ARHS is the district health department serving seven counties in the northeast to include Pasquotank, Perquimans, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, and Gates. We offer your more traditional Public Health services and environmental health in these counties. In addition, we operate programs including the Inter County Public Transportation Authority (ICPTA), Children's Developmental Service Agency (CDSA), the PCG Landfill and Convenience Sites, and the Albemarle Regional Solid Waste Management Authority (ARSWMA). Some of these programs expand our service area, reaching 12 counties in the north east. We employee approximately 260 employees.

Provide strategic vision, direction and planning for recruiting and community outreach for greater community recognition and increased enrollments and retention in all programs and divisions. Plan and coordinate open houses and recruitment events on a small and large scale. Create and execute a strategic high school recruitment plan. Strategically schedule employees to adequately staff recruiting events. Co-chair of Enrollment Management Committee Organize recruitment tours for a variety of community organizations.Collaborate with community organizations to increase visibility and utilization.Partner with area University to enable underachieving students to begin a college program.Participate in numerous and various recruiting events. Create a system to track and evaluate return on investment of all recruiting and community outreach events. Create and organize uniform recruiting materials and equipment for four campuses.

Provide supportive leadership in oversight of public relations, community outreach, marketing and recruitment, retention, documentation, and student registration support. Increased student enrollments.  Responsible for providing superior customer service, oversight of campus operations, student, faculty and base education office personnel administrative support.  Report directly to the Regional Director for the National Capital Region. Managed successful rollout of Cybersecurity program and community/business outreach programs. Implemented enhanced office procedures including electronic student database and remote (phone, internet, email) advising methods to assist students who are deployed or unable to come into the office.

• Provide superior customer service to prospective students, current students and instructors.• Manage and coordinate textbook implementation and procurement. • Serve as public relations point of contact and community outreach representative at various locations.• Maintain faculty files with applications, transcripts, payroll forms, approval lists and evaluations. • Conduct internet based software training• Assist and advise students with registration and their responsibilities of being a graduate student.• Advise instructors of their responsibilities, duties and benefits of being an instructor. • Manage extensive and various contact logs. • Edit and revise student and instructor handbook.

•Plan and implement lessons (multi-media and hard copy) assessments and instruction to reach students on a variety of ability levels to teach them to think critically and analytically. Analyze National and state based assessment tools in order to implement growth plans for students and faculty on an individual and group basis. Maintain student records, electronic and paper files. Facilitate remediation programs for struggling students and novice teachers. Assist and advise students on academic and personal matters and advise them of resources available to them. Provide leadership as a professional and an expert in the field of education. Plan, direct, and / or administer official visits, workshops, seminars and other educational and outreach events in various states. Manage equipment, materials, and documents and collect, organize, and disseminate information. Make travel arrangements for 100+ people and arrange payment for travel. •Analyze referrals and observations in order to plan and implement a personalized education plan to help struggling students. Communicate with parents, teachers, administration and medical professionals at the school about student progress. •Analyze the policies of the school, implement new procedures and solve conflict within the school. Oversee the implantation of Professional Learning Communities within the school. •Act as a model for the Intern to observe. Contribute the framework for writing lesson plans and guidance once they were completed. Evaluated Intern in ability to deliver instruction, act as facilitator in the classroom, and comply with school, local, state and federal procedures, regulations and laws. Encouraged the Intern to act as a cohesive member of the school faculty and acclimate to the school environment.
