Teach ELA 2, Honors ELA2, AP Seminar, AP Research, Honors Contemporary Literature

Lecture students on the fundamentals of writing, editing, grammar, proofreading, and literature. This requires me to articulate myself, be organized, and be in control of the room. I communicate with a diverse group, and successfully present lessons in a manner that is effective for all involved.

Plan and Keep detailed financial records related to faculty, process requests, maintain and plan payments of invoices, set up independent contractors, stewardship letters, track expenses, respond to any financial or HR request. Follow through on any HR requests including: management of faculty review processes, facilitate raises, facilitate Teacher Assistant Employment, facilitate research and leave assignments, coordinate and process retirement, coordinate any out of cycle increases as required for faculty, track faculty reviews, facilitate overload payments, and act as liaison between the University Business Center and the Department. Plan events for the faculty, facilitate any department sponsored events.

Through my work at SPEC I have had the chance to work at the corporate level in a high volume staffing agency that concentrates on Trucking Companies and Construction Work. My duties as the DOT Compliance Specialist are to make sure that all of the commercial drivers have paperwork compliant to the Department of Transportation’s regulations. This includes conducting background checks, drug tests, and verifying past employment history. I service nine branches at a national level, crossing three different time zones. I also assist in the recruitment of drivers at the local level. This includes customer service, invoicing, payroll, and general office assistance when needed.

Unicorn Group gave me the opportunity to work within many different environments and utilize a multitude of skills including but not limited to:Public School System: I worked as a receptionist, as an assistant to the Substitute Teaching Department, and as an assistant to their Health Services Department. I answered phones, made copies, worked a multi line phone system, performed mass mailings, and assisted with Substitute Teaching Orientations. I was responsible for getting my work done in an orderly and timely fashion without constant supervision. A Local CPA office: I was responsible for creating an efficient system for differentiation new and preferred clients, answering phones, taking messages, faxing client information, mass mailings of tax documents, and keeping up with the partners’ appointment schedules. A Pest Control Company: I answered phones, scheduled appointments, and called to confirm appointments, dispatched technicians, and mailed billing.
