Lead national strategic communications for four USDA agencies with a focus on urban farming, the People’s Garden movement, and organic agriculture.

Managed, reconfigured, and rebranded one of Washington, D.C.’s largest tour programs and created exhibitions and publications.

Created and managed the museum’s educational programs and supporting materials to enhance visitor experience of special exhibitions and the permanent collection. Presented gallery talks and lectures, collaborated with scholarly programs and universities, trained museum docents, and improved collaboration between curatorial and education departments.

Improved internal communication and collaboration between researchers in all Smithsonian museums and research centers. Worked on Yale-Smithsonian Seminars, Smithsonian Forums on Material Culture, and other cross disciplinary programs. Increased public understanding of Smithsonian research by creating videos, exhibitions, and tours worldwide.
