As a Senior CAD Specifier, I was responsible to work with our Clients, Furniture Account Executives and Project Teams to provide consultation and review of layouts and specifications for all projects including space planning, finish selection, installation and final meetings. Key Tasks of the role include:• Meet with Clients to assess space, desired image, furniture requirements, functions, adjacencies, budget, traffic patterns, electrical requirements and related details found in the space planning process.• Created furniture block plans and furniture layout drawings based on needs analysis. Ensured drawings meet building code standards. Drawings included all base building drawings – site measured. Revise drawings as required in order to provide final sign off drawing for furniture specification process.• Create detailed specifications based on supporting documents to create final furniture layout, selecting each component to fit within the space plan. Revise specifications as required to attain final sign off.• Specified architectural wall solutions, render drawings using Management tools and CAD.• Attend meetings throughout the project including site meetings, showroom tours and presentations.• Obtain installation quotes based on site conditions and client requirements.

As CAD Specifier & Project Coordinator, I was responsible to manage adherence to the project schedule, customer’s project budget, design task completions, and quality of design work. I was also responsible to inventory existing product, develop block/space plans per built drawings/specifications and obtain customer approval and sign-off. Additional attributes of my role were to design finished drawings for specification and installation; validate plans against construction standards and develop isometrics/renderings of project spaces utilizing AutoCAD 2005, and Canvas.
