About Suzanne Roy

Fascinated by the evolution of our industry from the most antiquated agricultural sources to the most complex and scientific creations, I found my passion in leading teams passionate about creating and transforming the experiences we enjoy every day. Spending much of my career in the early stages of the food value chain, I recognize the power of showcasing the relevancy and innovative aspects of specialty flavor and how transformative they can be to food and beverage products. Food is an integral part of my heritage. Starting out in a true French-style pastry shop and progressing into the food service industry, I followed my love for food and earned a degree in nutrition— spearheading the foundation that turned my deep interest into a career. Over the last 16 years, I've worked globally to increase the awareness of McCormick flavor solutions and ensure we are positioned as one of the top flavor partners in the industry. As General Manager, a Flavors Solutions Strategy Council member, and a consistent collaborator with the Board of Directors representing North America Flavor, I'm proud to advocate and strategize for flavor worldwide. Leading our North America Flavor division, I foster a culture of listening to customers and exceeding market growth results while having fun through creative collaboration. Playing a pivotal role in the restructuring and consolidating of our fastest growing businesses— legacy McCormick U.S., Canada, Brand Aromatic, and FONA flavor businesses— I ensure our commercial, flavor creation and application and enablement teams have the support and collaboration from our internal functional resources to drive innovation and accelerate growth.Among my most notable accomplishments:• Integrating two acquisitions ahead of schedule and outpacing the financial model.• Growing specialty flavor to become one of McCormick's top three growth priorities.• Transforming our Canadian business and its profitability. • Connecting with employees and strengthening international engagements by leveraging my tri-lingual background.• Building a strategy and investment plan around beverage, enabling it to become our second largest category.McCormick is a different type of flavor company— our heritage is real food, from spices to herbs and extracts.
