Suzanne Sylvester, M.S., CCC-SLP, is owner and clinical director of Scarborough NeuroDevelopment Center, LLC. SNDC provides speech language pathology and occupational therapy services to adults and pediatrics with acquired and developmental neurological disorders. SNDC augments traditional therapy techniques with research based technology, including Interactive Metronome, Cranial Electrical Stimulation (Alpha-Stim), and VItalStim, to assist patients in achieving maximum potential. Prior to opening SNDC, Sylvester worked as clinician in a number of settings, including Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center in Vacaville, CA, The Spurwink Institute in Portland, ME, and Bayside NeuroRehabilitation Services in Portland, ME, In addition, she operated a private practice, Suzanne V. Sylvester Speech Pathology, in Falmouth, Portland and Scarborough Maine, from 2002 through 2013. Over the last 20 years, Sylvester has treated a large and varied number of patients in the field of Speech Language Pathology and has extensive experience in working with pediatrics through geriatrics.Sylvester obtained her undergraduate degree in the field of Neuroscience from The University of Colorado, Boulder in 1990 and her graduate degree in Communicative Disorders from San Francisco State University in 1999. She holds a specialty credential in the field of Stuttering and Fluency Disorders through the Stuttering Foundation of America and the University of Iowa. Her credentials also include VitalStim certification, Interactive Metronome Certification, and Alpha-Stim certification.
