Development of micro-mechanical testing method procedure to study the deformation behavior of metallic microwires (10-100 µm, mostly Aluminium and Aluminium alloys). Expansion of existing micro-casting process to new materials and thermal treatments (machine and software development).Extensive laboratory work; micro-casting of metallic microwires through down-scaled and adapted casting process. Micro tensile testing, micro-manipulations, metallography, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Preparation and supervision of several semester projects of master students.
