Suzanne Whitney Bruno is a seasoned educational leader whose experience in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms as well as the broader functions of school orginizations is proven. Head of School, consultant, curriculum writer or Field Director, regardless of the role at the time, her commitment to best practices, current research, and continuous improvement have been tested with success. Encouraging and supporting student sucess through the development of strong faculties is a particular area of strength. While the work in a classroom brings great joy, she has partnered with boards and various committees towards greater organizational sustainablity. She has served in numerous roles, during a successful career devoted to Christian education and has approached these roles as a calling and ministry. Suzanne has taught in some capacity across the grades and moved into leadership early as a lead teacher then administrator, eventually serving as Head of School numerous times. Suzanne Bruno has served in both long term and short term roles, so after completing one year in an Interim Head of School position to help bridge the leadership of a retiring principal transitioning leadership to a newly recruited principal, she was happy to stay on an extra year to consult and train the new principal she helped recruit and hire. Leadership transition is a vulnerable time for our schools and being a part of ensuring the success of those challenging seasons is a hallmark of her leadership. As a relational leader, Suzanne has worked with numerous schools in similar seasons and has maintained active connections to every school she served and each leader she has trained. Those relationships with leaders, faculty members, students and parents are very important to her as she remains in service through the assignments. While the most prominent position has been in the area of Head of School roles, Suzanne has engaged in many other educational projects, initatives, and experiences.There is a depth of experience delivering professional development and training principals and teachers, alike; working with faculty on biblical integration and worldview; accreditation and all the weight that brings; developing academic support programs and initiatives to engage parent participation; board development and strategic planning - Suzanne has experience and success refelcted in her work summary. At the end of the day all that has been mentioned makes her qualified, while excellent people skills and a sense of humor make her a great addition to any staff or organization.
