Suzanne is continuing to use her skills and experience in Estate Planning, Estate Litigation and Probate & Administration at McLachlan Thorpe Partners to assist clients to achieve the best outcome for their individual circumstances. She enjoys building relationships with clients and other trusted advisers as part of a holistic and team approach.

Suzanne lead the firms Wills, Probate and Administration, and Estate litigation practice. She has over 10 years’ experience assisting clients to identify and manage their legal risks and obligations relating to estate litigation, estate administration and estate planning.Suzanne acts for both plaintiffs and defendants/executors in estate litigation matters. Her work includes advising clients as well as acting for them in settlement negotiations, mediations and Supreme Court proceedings.Where possible, Suzanne seeks to avoid protracted Court proceedings that are both costly and stressful to the parties. Instead, she will seek to settle matters via mediation or prior to the Hearing.Her experience in estate administration includes applying for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration and subsequently administrating the estate. She has advised on some complex estates containing both business and personal assets as well as intestate estates.In Estate Planning, Suzanne advises clients on the documents they need to ensure their wishes are effectively carried out both during their lifetime and upon their passing. This advice covers drafting Wills, Testamentary Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardian documents. Suzanne often works with other Professional Advisors such as Accountants and Financial Planners to ensure the best structure for the clients individual situation.

Suzanne is the Quality Manager at Champion Legal and oversees the LAW 9000-2010 - Legal Best Practice Certification processes and requirements. She ensures compliance within the firm as well as attending the Audits undertaken by SAI Global.
