I conducted recruitment and performed neuropsychological assessments. I operated EyeLink eye-tracking software for behavioral assessments inside and outside the MRI scanner. I carried out functional MRI tasks. I worked with the following populations: Traumatic Brain Injury, Acquired Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Mild Cognitive Impairment, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I conducted mock scans to help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder acclimate to the MRI experience. I learned command line code and MRI preprocessing for analyses.

I assisted in the design of research studies and worked with the Institutional Review Board on study protocols. I assisted in the development of JAVA programs for the administration and scoring of neuropsychological tests. I wrote manuscripts for publication with Dr. Kenneth Perrine. I developed posters and presented study data at conferences. I observed and provided assistance during Wada procedures, cortical mapping, and bedside mapping that helped in determining the localization of language. I conducted neuropsychological testing with research subjects and scored the results. I assisted with concussion baseline testing for the NY Jets and Islanders.

Ithaca, New York Area

As a research intern for the National Science Foundation grant-funded Tots on Bots Interdisciplinary Research, I assisted with the locomotion play sessions for 5 to 7-month-old infants on a novel locomotion robot and I assisted with the cognitive assessment given at 7 months of age. I ran assessments using Gaze-Tracker and Eye-Tracker programs used during the cognitive assessment to track eye movement and pupil dilation while watching video tasks.

I worked as a Probationary EMT until I moved up to a Regular EMT. Before I joined the ambulance core I completed six months of training that amounted to about 250 hours. I am First Aid, CPR and AED, and Epi-pen certified. I participated in both minor medical calls and trauma incidents. I also helped supervise sports events such as Football games at local high schools.
