In this executive leadership role, I oversaw strategic initiatives, governance services, and leadership development for the firm. As part of the executive team at a boutique consultancy, I was responsible for managing key operational processes, expanding service offerings, and supporting overall team well-being. My work included integrating coaching into our services, enhancing governance offerings, and aligning internal processes with strategic goals.

During my tenure, I was brought in to cover a maternity leave and quickly made a significant impact. I created the first ever strategic vision for the department, clarifying team roles and creating a more cohesive and efficient department vision. One major highlight of my time here was revamping an enterprise-wide policy oversight project, which required extensive change management and stakeholder engagement. I enhanced the stakeholder communication process, identifying and mitigating key execution barriers to smooth project implementation.In addition to these strategic initiatives, I provided day-to-day governance leadership by collaborating with the Governance team and key stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of governance. I played a pivotal role in developing, planning, and implementing governance policies and processes, ensuring alignment with best practices. Furthermore, I facilitated strong communication and relations between the Board, committees, and management, ensuring seamless governance reporting and decision-making.This role allowed me to leverage my expertise in governance, strategic planning, and change management, while delivering impactful results in a short time.

In this leadership role, I played a central part in transforming governance into a strategic function within the organization. Collaborating closely with the Corporate Secretary, I served as a key liaison between the Board, senior management, and various oversight functions, ensuring alignment and execution of governance initiatives. I was responsible for drafting board reports, refining internal processes, and providing strategic recommendations that strengthened governance operations.Throughout my six-year tenure, I was promoted multiple times as my leadership and strategic insights were recognized.
