Hello! I am an Emeritus Professor of Architecture and Head of the School of Architecture at Oklahoma State University. I am a licensed architect, but my real passion is inspiring people of all ages to look at the world around them and appreciate the power of architecture. Currently, I am working with national AIA in the Continuing Education section of the Professional Development & Research department.

As Head of the School of Architecture, Professor Bilbeisi provided leadership of the faculty and school in the following areas of concern: strategic planning, recruiting of new students, curriculum development and degree plan updates, course scheduling, oversight of the academic advising of 375 students, maintenance of departmental budget and responsibility for all spending decisions, supervision of four support staff and annual review of sixteen faculty members, recruiting and extending offers for faculty hires, execution of reappointment/promotion/tenure actions for tenure-track faculty, development of departmental policy and procedures, oversight of the Architecture Building and all facility operations, stewardship of alumni and donor relations, fundraising to supplement the annual budget, and promoting the school at public events. Professor Bilbeisi also remained active in teaching, with the Introduction to Architecture class (the largest class within the department, with 150 students), Honors for Intro, and Professional Development for senior students.
