Crossing from coast to coast and across an ocean, I've charted a career path that resembles hopscotch more than a straight line. Starting as as a Program Operations Manager in Seattle, Washington, then earning a doctoral degree in History of Art and Architecture at Brown University in Rhode Island, I've ultimately landed in Belgium. Currently, I teach in the International Communication & Media programme at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences. In this role, I call on my practical management skills, academic research knowledge and extensive international experience to teach students in a variety of subjects. My more than ten years' teaching spans areas such as History of Art and Architecture; Visual Studies; Professional Skills; Persuasion; English; Presentation and Storytelling; Research and Archival Research Skills; Destination Marketing and Place Branding; Project Management; and Event Planning. I'm also committed to helping build community on campus and for our alumni, especially for the international students navigating campus life in a new country. Drawing on my own experiences, I understand the importance of finding a sense of home, no matter where you are.
