When I come to work each day, I’ve already watched the offshore news and read the papers, I know which companies are reporting today and who is going ex dividend. At my desk I am greeted by the latest research and insights from our network of global analysts and our internal Forsyth Barr analyst team. But my job is much more than a sea of data and numbers. My job is about the privilege of assisting others to achieve their financial freedom, whatever that means, it’s different for us all. I learned early on in my career that what motivates me is being able to bring greater financial comprehension and security to those who don’t necessarily understand the jargon and complicated terminology. I also take pride in being one of the few female NZX advisers in what has historically been a male dominated industry.I have three big loves in my life, my gorgeous family, my interest in sporting endeavours, both participating and on the sideline, and my passion for a long relaxing bath (not that I get much time for this activity with two busy children). My clients matter to me, I have come to know them personally over many years and helping them achieve their investment goals is what my role as an Investment Adviser is all about.
