I love organizing things, creating efficiencies, and thinking outside the box! Not what you thought a profile for a typical financial controller would start with? Well, I am not your typical accounting personality and that helps me to achieve not so typical results!I have been able to weave together a rich personal history of experience in accounting, purchasing, office management, design, IT management, and warehouse management to bring me to where I am today. I am blessed to say that journey has led me to work with a fantastic team of individuals hell bent on enriching our surroundings and each other! That journey has also shredded my fears and turned them into confidence, laughter, and joy. It has given me the skillset to see what I want from a high level, make solid decisions about how to get there, and then dig in, get my hands dirty, and lead the charge. Learning and laughing every day day allows me to continually become a stronger, more positive person. It means that I am not afraid to lead, collaborate, or ask for help, and to know when the time is right for each. It means that I can learn from those I interact with while mentoring at the same time. I am adept at performing all day to day, month end, quarter end, and year end accounting functions. I am a critical thinker with the ability to assess situations quickly and adapt as needed. Some of my recent accomplishments include: Implementation of tighter accounting controls ensuring a more secure environment and ease at audit time. Update month end reporting processes to ensure increased accuracy, fewer redundancies, and shorter close processes while customizing worksheets to continue to meet the traditional reporting formats but also creating ease in seeing and analyzing trends.
