About Suzanne Dyer
Suzanne Dyer has over 20 years experience in research, health technology assessment, systematic reviews and guideline development. She is currently employed as a Senior Research Fellow at Flinders University in addition to conducting private consultancy work. At Flinders University she was a key researcher involved in leading two research reports conducted for the Aged Care Royal Commission, the development of the NHMRC approved Clinical Practice Guidelines for Dementia in Australia and managing the analysis and reporting of a large cross-sectional study of the quality of life of people living in residential aged care (INSPIRED). She has managed and worked in teams contracted to the Australian Commonwealth Department of Health to provide services to support the Medical Services Advisory Committee, within both the private and public sectors. She has extensive experience in systematic reviews, data analysis and health technology assessments of a wide range of healthcare technologies, with particular expertise in evaluating diagnostic and screening tests. Suzanne also has experience in performing secondary research in other contexts including the evaluation of surgical procedures, treatments for rare diseases, public health research, health economics, guideline development and Cochrane Collaboration reviews. She has particular expertise within the areas of cancer screening and diagnostic technologies, dementia and fragility fracture.
