I am optimistic that through knowledge building, imagination, dialogue, and consensus, we can find ways to make the world better on all fronts.Professionally, I am a futures & foresight facilitator, as well as a communication specialist/trainer/coach/consultant (you choose). I am also an active sustainability and climate communicator, sometimes professionally, sometimes because it’s just the right thing to do for me.I wear a few hats where my weird and wonderful skills and experience prove useful. Workwise, I am currently focused on: 🚀 Facilitating participatory futures, innovation & strategy workshops to help groups anticipate, adapt & innovate, & act in the face of uncertainty. 🚀 Delivering communication training & coaching for scientists & researchers.🚀 Working with change-makers, visionary leaders & sustainability professionals on presence & presentation skills.🚀 Working as an "expert" for some EU-funded projects.🚀 Giving talks & workshops about climate change, solutions, communication, the circular economy, & various sustainability themes.🚀 Researching participatory ways to encourage climate action. I'm proudly South African & a long time resident of Innsbruck, Austria. I've lived & worked in Africa, Europe, North America & Australasia, & travelled widely for work & play. Working with diverse groups is my catnip! Clients have included the UN, CERN, the IMF, Sanford Burnham Prebys, EU Green Deal Projects, the Society for Experimental Biology, & dozens of universities, including Innsbruck University, Boston University, Cambridge University, Boston University, Queens University Belfast, Kiel University, & many more.Before becoming a facilitator & trainer, I worked in creative communication, & I ran my own agency for 12 years. Prior to that, I was a project & programme manager.On a personal note:I am also a performance storyteller, an “aspiring mindful person”, & I am interested in urban walking as a way to bring people together & prompt conversations.
