I was responsible for the operations and marketing of a luxury 18 guest ski chalet in the Three Valleys on behalf of private owners. I coordinated all operations, recruitment and employment arrangements, marketing and relationships with UK booking agents.

I ran this initiative, on behalf of Annoushka Ducas MBE, a Women Supporting Women Patron for The Prince's Trust. Launched in October 2020, the ambition was for an annual nationwide event, to bring friends, family and colleagues together over breakfast, whilst raising money and awareness of how The Prince's Trust helps change the lives of young women in the UK. By October 2022 we had raised over £2.1m.

Surrey

I was responsible for retail operations, performance and strategy at Cavan Bakery. The business had 4 shops when I joined and was perceived as old-fashioned, stuck in its 1929 heritage. I analysed the market, identified the broader trend for artisanal bakeries and rebranded the business and revised the product range to capitalise on this. I opened 7 shops to bring the total to 11 shops and implemented revised operational standards, incentives, training events and social media accounts to drive performance and ensure a consistent customer experience in accordance with the branding.

My role was created to execute a turnaround on the business following two years of poor trading and a significant loss. I was given a free hand to make such changes as I deemed necessary having identified significant issues including cost control, operations, brand positioning and staffing;By the end of 2001, I had employed an entirely new staff, cut costs, imposed costs and operational discipline in the form of standards and procedures, instigated staff training and re-positioned the brand in the market;In 2001 the business made a small loss and was on course to make a substantial profit in 2002. I was responsible for all aspects of management and operations for the business. In doing so I reported to the Managing Director and Finance Director (with whom I set budgets and monitored expenditure);Marketing initiatives that I introduced to boost sales included developing an annual marketing plan, production of a new mail order brochure, creation of a look-book, customer mailings, in-store customer events, press editorial and establishing a visual merchandising regime for the Savile Row windows.

Head of PR & Marketing I looked after all aspects of PR (press liaison, product placement, previews, launches and entertainment) and controlled the advertising budget for all media as well as briefing the external creative agency;I was responsible for, and organised, all domestic marketing initiatives (this included visual merchandising across all of the shops, mailings, shopping days/events, in-store point of sale, promotions etc).Head of RetailI oversaw the retail operations for 10 UK shop openings (shopfitter liaison, merchandise layout, staff recruitment, promotion and launch) and was responsible for the ongoing operations of 13 UK shops with a total staff of approximately 80 people;As guardian of the international retail image of the brand, I visited Hong Kong, Dubai and Australia to advise on the establishment of local franchises.
