Teaching Design Pathways with the Design Foundations program

I began teaching at Algonquin several years ago in the School of Continuing Education, where I developed one of the first Continuing Ed web site design programs. Courses developed and taught included HTML, Dreamweaver, Web Video, and Writing for the Web. After an 8 year break, I joined the School of Media and Design in 2009, to teach 1st year video.

I was a Senior Technical Writer, Communications Specialist and interface designer for an IT software development company.

I worked on several marketing and communications projects and web site design projects.

I was a web content developer for a ground-breaking interactive portal for the Nortel Networks Optical networks software development community. I also produced online training and worked in corporate communications. As part of my responsibilities as a Communications Specialist at Nortel Networks, I was responsible for developing user help guides and.

I was hired by Inner Action to teach Web Video, and HTML, and was a certified instructor for Macromedia Dreamweaver. I became the Program Coordinator for Inner Action’s first ever Digital Media Developer program, one of the first programs of its kind at the time. I also developed training materials for the original release of XStream Software’s e-Learning.

I was a producer for the community television channel, Rogers Television 22. I produced hundreds of programs over 7 years, including documentaries, music shows, current affairs, womens' programs, arts programs, open line programs.As part of my role as a producer at Rogers Television, I was responsible for developing and teaching volunteer workshops on.
