Teacher Assistant
CurrentAssists teachers in the establishment, planning and implementation of safe, healthy, high quality learning experiences and environments that advances the development of the whole child in partnership with families.• Instruct 16 preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote cognitive, physical, and social development. • Engage with children as individuals in a way that allows them to grow in their own abilities. • Support children in their emotional and physical growth. • Assist classroom teachers with lesson plan and schedule implementation, supervision, and management while supporting developmentally appropriate practice as well as program goals. • Create a culturally inclusive classroom with activities that support different cultures and backgrounds.• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to state licensing regulations and city of Colorado Springs accreditation standards. • Analyze data and take appropriate measures to adjust individual goals and objectives, including, but not limited to, parent conferences, parent educational meetings, etc. • Keep accurate records regarding attendance, student progress, etc.• Maintain a cooperative attitude with the teacher, volunteers, parents and program specialists in planning and implementing activities. • Respect confidentiality of CPCD families and staff.• Follow policies and procedures of CPCD childcare program.• Participate in regular cleaning of materials and classroom spaces.
