Over the years I have worked at various design offices beginning my career on the East Coast in New York City at Walker-Group CNI, the preeminent retail design office where we developed branding before it was termed branding. Followed by working under Marc Gobe at Desgrippes Gobe and Associates, where we honed branding to an art form to clearly direct companies to address markets via design. Through my experience I created retail stores where clients ranged from department stores; Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Marshal Fields, etc. to prototypes; Godiva Chocolate, Waldenbooks, to Benetton. Additionally some contract design experience including offices for Lehman Brothers and skyscrapers for the Zeckendorf Corporation. Have you ever been on the 30th floor of an under construction skinless skyscraper overlooking Central Park during a raging lighting storm - intense! My years of experience in interior architecture have given me a deep knowledge of design thinking and branding to allow me to hone my 3-Dimensional skills along with the creative design process as applied to anything. I'm a business owner at heart, a design-thinker and in 2001 I landed in the San Francisco Bay Area where my design office flourished and I started, SevenPonds. I founded SevenPonds with one purpose in mind: to change the way we think, observe and experience death, the last taboo. I wanted to create a safe, beautiful atmosphere where people could learn openly about death and explore their end-of-life experiences without fear or judgment. I've spent almost two decades researching, attending conferences and speaking with industry experts about death and dying. I also possess a deep knowledge and understanding of the death care industry through past family exposure and research. Additionally early in my career I worked in a nursing home (SNF) in Berkeley, CA attending to long term custodial care residents.
