I am a Firmware Engineer with over 5 years of experience in developing software for embedded systems, including C++ applications, low-level Linux kernel configurations, and device trees for multiple projects. My passion for programming on embedded systems began at Oregon State University, where I took System Design with Microcontrollers and developed a love for low-level peripherals. I continued to build on these skills in my current position at Thermo Fisher, where I am working on a complex scientific instrument, in a cross-functional team. My experience in firmware engineering and working collaboratively with multiple sites and teams allows me to deliver insightful customer-centric solutions that exceed expectations.I have gained notoriety for my comprehensive yet simple documentation that allows other engineers to come up to speed and use tools to complete their tasks. I’ve recently taken on training colleagues in the use of Git rebase using the command line to enable a cleaner workflow. I take an open-minded, team-focused approach to my work, which allows me to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products. I am always excited to take on new challenges and believe that my experience in firmware engineering, cross-functional teamwork, and passion for learning make me a valuable addition to any team.Aside from my professional experience, I have a passion for rescuing pit bulls and being a voracious reader. In my free time, I enjoy reading books on a wide range of topics, including technology, psychology, and lighter topics. My love for learning extends beyond the pages of a book, as I enjoy staying up to date with the latest advancements in firmware engineering and technology.
