A specialist in communication, with a triple award winning BMedSci (Hons) degree in Speech Science, I am independent Speech and Language Therapist qualified mediator, consultant and soft skills trainer.I specialise in communication skills for social, emotional and mental health. I have over 10 years experience working with children, teens and adults with Acquired Brain Injuries, ADHD, ASD, Parkinson's disorder and Dementia. I also provide Soft Skills training and consulting on communication skills and conflict resolution in corporate, health and education settings throughout NI.

I gained a 1st Class Honours Bachelor of Medical Science degree in Speech Science, graduating top of my year from the University of Sheffield for which I was awarded 3 graduate prizes.I was the first person in Northern Ireland to set up in independent practice as an NQP, with support from the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and became fully certified within 8 months. I have over 10 years experience working with children, teens and adults with Acquired Brain Injuries, ADHD, ASD, Parkinson's disease and Dementia.

I am currently Head of the Children and Youth Service to support children aged 0-18 and their families across Northern Ireland affected by acquired brain injury. Therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of the individual and their family, focusing on social skills, relationship management, empowerment, mental health and engagement with education. I deliver training on acquired brain injury and communication to multidisciplinary teams such as doctors, nurses and teachers. I took over the running of the Dysarthria Communication Group in her 2nd year of University from lecturers in the Department of Human Communication Sciences. I was responsible for planning, leading and recruiting volunteers to assist with the weekly communication sessions. I remained the lead on the group until graduation.

As a community care and support worker, I worked across Belfast providing personal care, companionship, mental health first aid, meal preparation, light cleaning duties and medication administration.

I volunteered 2 days per week as a classroom assistant at Roddensvale Special School, working closely with the young people and assisting the Speech and Language Therapy Sessions
