Primarily my position is Room Sales Coordinator; managing and overseeing the room reservations for two major four star Hotels in Bournemouth with over 140 rooms between them. On a daily basis I monitor two automated reservations systems as well as manually entering bookings from an array of Online Travel Agents, FIT Agents, Corporate accounts and Leisure markets. I also look after coach and other leisure groups from enquiry stage through to arrival.I also receive and handle meetings and events enquiries such as weddings, corporate meetings, exhibitions and presentations along with private parties and dinners. I professionally and efficiently handle with private, local, national and international corporate accounts totalling in excess of £3,000,000 annual room spend.

In my position as Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator I was responsible for managing existing bookings and receiving and converting new enquiries for the two function rooms within the Hotel. On a daily basis I was receiving and responding to enquiries from private, corporate and agency sectors, aiming to achieve an 80% conversion rate while looking to meet and exceed budget and forecast figures. I was also tasked with producing a weekly report detailing the current business on the books against forecast and budget for the following six months.
