● Receive and respond to calls involving actual or suspected poison exposures. ● Obtain information surrounding exposure, assess situations, and recommend course of action.● Follow-up with health care providers in the ED or ICU and collaborate a treatment plan for exposure.● Field questions from different medical providers and entities as they relate to patient care. ● Upkeep with necessary knowledge by attending continuing education courses and seminars. ● Assist in the orientation and training of new clinical staff and teaching students in the general principles of toxicology.
