Suzy comes from an entrepreneurial family and has focused her career on small business financial management. Initially starting as a bookkeeper for small business owners, she built a successful private practice that included service, oil and gas, construction and marketing clients. Because she started with a strong basic understanding of accounting principles and a desire to be the best she could be, she listened to her clients and provided them with the real information they needed to run their businesses effectively. She now educates the entrepreneur on how to not only track their expenses for their taxes but use their books like big companies. They can now make strategic decisions based on facts not hope. It was from this experience that she co-founded Apis Business Solutions which has been serving small business owners providing bookkeeping and higher level accounting services such as: Controller, Cost Accounting, Budgeting, Projections and Forecasting and Cash Flow Management since 2008. Suzy has always focused on continuous learning for her herself and others. She believes that education is a process not a destination. It is a core component to the services provided by Apis Business Solutions. With her business partner, Nancy Barnett, they established an e-learning entrepreneurial educational company, eL3 that provides curriculum to entrepreneurs and small business owners. That curriculum contains strong financial education. The program is currently being used in the SBDC and CDOT networks.
