Accounting Manager
CurrentManage and mentor a team of three accounting professionals. Oversee accounting-related functions surrounding revenue recognition, preparation of ASC 606 entries, revenue share agreements, deferred revenue, cash application, invoice imports and month-end close. - Streamlined invoice import processing - Spearheaded and continue to manage the automation project of importing 70k+ invoices a month across 30+ isolved environments (billing system) into NetSuite; averaging $18M a month. - Optimized Month-End Close - Strive to have 90% of entries completed by the end of Day 2 of a 5-day close. Initiated pre-close and daily close meetings to improve team productivity and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.• Foster a collaborative environment between Accounting, AR, and Billing teams.• Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations and account reconciliations ensuring compliance with GAAP and enhancing the accuracy of financial statements. • Work with external auditors during reviews and audits to provide accurate documentation and respond to audit inquiries.Highlights: - Nominated for isolved High Five Award – Q4 2021 - Led Lunch & Learns: MS Excel, Order to Cash - Led cross-functional training sessions to align AR & Billing practices with accounting standards.
