I love asking why. Why is crime typically higher during a full moon? Why are the earth's magnetic poles slowly shifting? These answers, and many more like them, can be explored and theorized through analyzing the massive amounts of data we have at our fingertips. I believe that by asking the right questions and through thoughtful analysis, we can solve many of the problems we face today.I am a passionate data scientist currently helping students from elementary to high school achieve their academic goals. I am currently working part-time as a tutor for C2 Education, providing personalized in-person and online tutoring to dozens of students in the Houston area. Having studied mathematics in college, I knew I wanted to pursue work that examines the real-world applications of complex mathematics. To take my education further, I achieved my Master's Degree in Data Science and Statistics, using my quantitative skills to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanics of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms. I analyzed data from a variety of fields, many of which I was unfamiliar with, but always viewed the projects as challenges and opportunities to learn. Now, I want to take my understanding of data science and complex model building to the renewable energy sector. I am passionate about contributing to the goal of providing affordable, clean energy globally. There is much I do not know and hope to learn in order to realize my career goals. In my past time, I enjoy reading fantasy, Sci-Fi, and nonfiction crime.
