Member of The Recording Academy.We are rapidly moving into a virtual world of spatial computing. What does this mean for storytelling and entertainment? The innovative tools of game platforms give creatives a new palette of tools to play with and construct new types of deeply meaningful experiences. However, only a few from the traditional media business seem to be comprehensively thinking about how to incorporate their products into these dawning opportunities. New processes and ways of thinking are about to open up new growth market opportunities to the increasingly commoditized entertainment business. However products must translate from the traditional means of passive entertainment to this new immersive, interactive, spatial world. I have spent the past number of years investigating and utilizing the tools of Unreal Engine (and partner platforms, including AI tools) as well as studying formal game design to meet this purpose. From my traditional music background I have used Dolby ATMOS to compose spatial music experiences for numerous major label artists. My education at NYU in behavior and economics bridges my deep understanding of the creative process with business concerns and opportunities. Using new tools and mechanics, we can work together to innovate more encompassing, immersive entertainment and open up entirely new growth opportunities for spatialized music, art and game oriented entertainment. Technology is moving quickly; the bold must move expeditiously to maintain business driven hegemony in art & entertainment.Main pursuits/inspirations:1.
