About my career journey so far:- I graduated in 2021 from the University of Leeds with first-class honours in Biomedical Sciences. This is where I realised my deep passion for Neurology and Psychology research. However, fresh out of university, I felt lost when considering my next career steps.- That’s when I encountered a Clinical Research Internship within the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. Here, I trained in Good Clinical Practice and learned about clinical research delivery within the NHS. Importantly, towards the end, I realised I wanted to have an impact on patients living with life-altering conditions.- This led to my next role as a Clinical Trials Administrator, where I could do exactly that, and discover how much I love it. I carried forward what I had learned as an intern, and gained hands-on experience in the conduct of Alzheimer’s Disease clinical trials. I handled a diverse range of tasks, enjoyed interacting with patients, and discovered there was no end to the amount of things I could learn as a professional in clinical research.About myself: - I have a strong work ethic and drive to seek opportunities to expand my skillset and knowledge.- I am a curious person who likes to ask questions.- I am a quick learner, and I thrive in environments where I am challenged and pushed outside my comfort zone.- I am a good team player because I am reliable, an effective communicator, and possess good listening skills.- I have strong verbal and written communication skills and this has helped me build strong problem-solving skills. At the moment, I am keeping an open mind about my next steps. My circumstances have called for a pause to gain some clarity on where I am headed, and what I’d like to gain out of my next opportunity. I am here on LinkedIn for a number of reasons:- My profile is a reflection of my professional journey, and I like to record the ways in which I evolve professionally.- I am here to connect with people who inspire me, and follow individuals whose career paths excite me.- I am here to (hopefully!) have some fulfilling conversations to gain career clarity. Having said that, I would love to connect with like-minded professionals!
