My patent attorney career is getting to an end. This year will (most likely) be the last. I will concentrate on the family business. Bildmakarna Berg AB.September 2018, time to begin a new career, as patent attorney at Ipracraft AB in Stockholm Sweden. I joined them to provide some of my rather long experience in the field. It will be a fun challenge with lots of possibilities.2013 when i returned to Sweden I registered a company to deal with patents, and shortly afterwards began to deal with some cases at Hynell Patenttjänst. At the same time I took over the role as Chairman for the family owned company Bildmakarna Berg AB, dealing with the copyrights after the artist Björn Berg. 1990-2013. 23 years of patent examination at the European Patent Office in Munich, Germany added up to an experience that cannot be disregarded. Not only in a technical sense, or in view of changes to the European Patent Convention concerning Article and Regulation, but in the frequent interaction with people from about 40 different countries. We used our three working languages and added each our culture. The ability to find solutions to technical or legal problems working together is rather important.During the years at the EPO, I took active part in enhancing the ergonomics for the about 4000 office workers and led a crew of helpers to support people working at computer screens at all levels in the organisation. It turned out to be, not only challenging in a technical sense, but gave a lot interesting meetings with diverse inventors and their ideas. The atmosphere at the office in Malmö was important. I hesitated before I took the step over the European Patent Office. While I studied applied physics at Lunds Tekniska Högskola (the name at the time,now Faculty of Engineering LTH at the Lund University), I worked as an assistant in the department for physics, and made a minor project for the department of Atomic Physics.
