Centralized Registration Insurance Certification Director: Richmond, VA 05/16 – PresentOversee centralized Pre-Registration and Pre-Certification functions for 25 hospitals in five states. Ensure KPIs are met in the areas of scheduling patient pre-admission, verifying insurance information, and collecting patient-responsible amounts. Review patient accounts to ensure insurance authorization information is obtained from payers and captured accurately for billing purposes. Work with other functional areas within the Richmond Shared Services Center (RSSC) to ensure the smooth transition of patient accounts through the financial lifecycle. Lead a team of 85 employees and three managers spread throughout the US in our offices and working at home. In a 365 day shop, ensured production and quality standards were met daily with new records arriving every morning to satellite centers. Oversaw operations of the shared services mailroom including disbursement and scanning of all insurance, payer, and patient paper correspondence.
