Gradually I acquired and managed projects of my own, e.g. for the EC, for Vinnova and for Swedish industry and started publish based on these projects and my thesis. I also developed and successfully ran a completely a new course. Eventually I took on the responsibility of heading the IEM department (circa 10-12 persons), alongside being an assistant professor, taking part in supervising PhD students, and engaging in professional education and consulting (see below)
