  • Valuepricing.Io
    Founder
    Valuepricing.Io Nov 2022 - Present
    Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Nederland
I’ve established ValuePricing to create solutions that give organizations more control over their transfer pricing through data. The ultimate goal is to create a TP data platform, but as an advisor, I can also work alongside organizations in an iterative and flexible manner to build pragmatic solutions efficiently. For this purpose, I’ve:• Developed a platform that facilitates TP data handling and segmentation;• Built point solutions for CbC analytics and AI-enabled benchmarking; and• Automated the TP segmentation process for a European HQ of a large multinational. The solution includes live margin monitoring, automated FX adjustments, and the ability to generate relevant data points for documentation purposes (normally a yearly process that takes 1-2 weeks).
  • Pwc Nederland
Manager Transfer Pricing And Tax Data Analyses
    Pwc Nederland Oct 2021 - Nov 2022
    Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Nederland
As a manager within the TP team, I was responsible for utilizing data to create actionable and visual insights for transfer pricing, serving both clients and our team. My tasks included:• Tax audit and financial audit support: I assisted multinationals across various industries in defending their TP models and identifying tax risks during due diligence projects using data. Notable achievements include supporting an external CUP method by analyzing 1 million invoices for a large retailer during a multilateral audit, with potential adjustments of up to €100 million.• TP design and operations: developed cost allocations and margin monitoring models for companies in the mining, fintech, and agriculture industries. These tools were designed to ensure sufficient substance, prevent adjustments, and identify PE risks.• Ad hoc Tax and TP questions: built a model to determine the repayment strategy for a €4 billion loan to optimize tax loss utilization and created profit attribution models for innovation box calculations.• Building internal tools: I developed Power BI and Google Sheets-based solutions for benchmarking, resource management, and evaluating substance. Together with Richard Hiemstra we’ve created the "Economically Significant Functions" tool, an innovation in TP substance evaluation, now adopted by various PwC offices.

After an internship in the corporate tax department I joined the (predecessor of the) tax technology team (Jochem Veltman). Here I further developed my programming capabilities (Java, Javascript and Drools):.• Part of the development team. Focused on creating tax modules to model the impact of Dutch and international tax regulations and financial transactions. This involved liaising with various PwC departments—corporate tax, transfer pricing, and the knowledge center—to ensure accurate tax rule implementation in our software and to fully grasp the business requirements.• Standalone solution. Created a solution that performed a high-level impact assessment of the Dutch Tax Plan for 2020 impact using client tax returns in XBRL format, benefiting over 100 clients.
