About Sven Van Ewijk π¨βπ»
Hi, I'm Sven. Full Stack Developer mostly at home in the React ecosystem.π₯Ό Started out in the lab (well, in class), studying Beta-Gamma, Mathematics & majoring in Neuro-/Cognitive Sciences. π Disillusioned with the lab research practice, I pursued a two year masters program in International Public Health instead and learned to study problems from a systems- and policy perspective. This gave me the opportunity to go and study the primary care system in Vietnam.π I worked at the crossroads of science, technology and policy at a dynamic research institute informing public debate about democratising science, data ethics and developments in DNA sequencing technologies.π Being 'stuck' in South Africa during the pandemic, I built a website to help someone out. It was awful, but I was hooked and have been ever since. Did a Full Stack Academy and successfully made the career switch. No regrets.
