I was responsible for the setup and maintenance of the wireless communication systems, crucial for coordinating large-scale operations and ensuring worker safety during the critical stages of the project.

During the mooring installation, Heerema's Balder, along with a number of support vessels, must connect 16 tendons, four on each leg. Mission critical visual coverage of the subsea work is provided by 32 subsea cameras.Due to their critical nature, these video streams must be simultaneously broadcast to all vessels working on the project. This requires a wireless communication network between Heerema's vessel and Shell's Olympus TLP supporting unprecedented amounts of data.

During the Macondo blowout incident, I served as a critical Telecom Consultant for BP. My responsibilities included ensuring effective communication systems for disaster response teams and coordinating with stakeholders for prompt data exchange. My role played an instrumental part in managing the crisis and mitigating its effects.
