At this time, BEAT Venues operates and manages several venues. (Capitole Gent, Stadsschouwburg Antwerpen, Ethias Arena & Theatre, Vorst Nationaal, Sportpaleis Antwerpen & Lotto Arena).Within this group, our team of 4 is responsible for everything involving IT Operations.We are also proud to say that several years ago, we've become part of the Live Nation Entertainment Group, who is the biggest in their field. As we've come part of LNE, many new changes, challenges and opportunities await us. The acquisition also made me realize that some things should not be discussed on a technical level, but rather on a business level, causing me to have a look at some study materials that could help me in understanding the business as well as how things trickle down to a technical level. The most interesting course and certification I found was the (ISC)² CISSP. After studying hard, I managed to pass the exam on the first try. During any migration, caused by the acquisition, we (as a team) try to assess the risks to the way we currently operate and openly discusses them to prevent losses on either side. Wether it be LNE or BEAT Venues. Aside of this, I'm mainly into networking and network migrations, virtualization, servers and backups, integrations, scripting and all the other things that makes our venues tick it-wise.In general you could say that our team of 4, handles any IT-request going from Architecture up to Implementation, Support, Monitoring & Troubleshooting.Also corporate wise we say: "One for All and All for One!". After all, at the end of the day the show must go on. Making visitors happy is our core business!To be honest, I could not imagine a better team to work with!
