After my Physical Education studies in Brussels my first job after graduation was co-running a professional windsurfschool on the beautiful island of Margarita-Venezuela. 6 months later (january 1999) I got the opportunity to work as the Technical Director for the Flemish Windsurfing Federation (LWF), which later evolved into the Flemish Yachting Federation (VYF) a job that I did for nearly 6 years. During my 6 years over there, the love for marketing and communication started to grow on me. I introduced several new communication platforms towards the Yachting target groups under my responsibility (Swell Mag, Surfkix,) as well as organising several European and World Championships in windsurfing and kitesurfing in Belgium.In 2005 I started independent and we launched our own company.4Castmedia is a major player in the world of credible, up-to-date and creative communication aimed at youngsters in Belgium and the Netherlands.First and foremost we are the biggest publisher of extreme sports and lifestyle magazines in Benelux. All our publications have their own unique market position, each with a strong focus on the preferred activities and events of their target audience.Our print media is distributed free through an extensive and well thought out network of locations (such as shops, hotels, restaurants, cafes, events and other venues where kids like to hang out) resulting in a 100% pick up rate.We own the low countries’ extreme sports market, on the internet and even on television, with a number of informative and community based websites reaching a combined audience of 25.000 unique visitors per month. We also organize several community events such as the Swell Release Party and the Eneco Clean Beach Cup.
