Managed and advised member groups, councils, and committees, while serving as the primary contact to assigned member constituencies, regularly interacting with numerous US legislators, Congressional Committees as well as senior leaders of HUD, DOL, FHFA, Ginnie Mae, and USDA. Examples of industry policy work included advocating on “Prop 10” proposed legislation in California for rent control. Coronavirus and Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES) and Eviction Moratorium resulting in HUD’s adoption of MBA form of Eviction Moratorium Addendum into their official guidance.

As Managing Director, FHA Asset Management monitoring the portfolio of HUD insured properties including multifamily, healthcare facilities, and hospitals, I had oversight of staff training and development in addition to portfolio management focusing on risk mitigation, collateral protection, and reviewing borrower requests. Total assets under management of approximately 1,200+ loans. Further, I continued to foster and maintain relationships with senior HUD and Ginnie Mae officials working on programmatic, regulatory, and legislative issues impacting the multifamily industry.
