In my current role, I oversee the strategic development of content that contributes to connecting audiences with The Met, onsite and online. Working across media and formats, I lead a team of editors and producers who create interpretive media, including videos, articles, essays, and podcasts. Our goal is to craft content with multiple narratives—historical and contemporary—to make art accessible, inspirational and relevant for the world. I am a curious and creative storyteller, and I love exploring the connections between art, design, technology, economics, politics, and history. My favorite media (to consume and produce) is layered, complex, and a bit subversive. Prior to working at The Met, I held positions at the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver and at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago; I taught design and visual communication at several colleges and universities; and I was a consultant for a range of cultural organizations, including Art21, the Biennial of the Americas, Denver Botanic Gardens, the Andy Warhol Museum, and the J. Paul Getty Trust. My portfolio of projects includes award-winning podcasts and videos; digital products, platforms, and publications (and physical ones, too); and user experience research. I also co-founded Denver-based non-profit, Tilt West, to connect, promote, and amplify the creative communities in Colorado, and I moonlight as a fiber artist, using embroidery and weaving techniques to create data visualizations about gender bias and invisible labor. I am a mother of two, and because the pandemic waylaid plans to relocate to New York, my family and I live in Colorado.
