ARINC is an engineering and communications company for the transportation industry (airlines, airports, etc.) and a defense contractor. As Program/Project Manager responsible for project scope definition, project execution, risk management, schedule management, budget management, and status reporting.As Principal Engineer, provided support; acquisition of circuitry and supporting hardware, and configuration and deployment of network hardware (Cisco routers, switches). Installed Internet connections and worked with various communications protocols (IP, X.25, etc.) and transport systems (ATM, Frame Relay, T1, 64/56K dedicated circuitry, ISDN, DSL, MPLS, etc.). Managed the relocation of two corporate data centers. One included the construction of an additional 2,000 square feet of environmentally controlled space. Responsible for scope, schedule, and budget, and the supervision of teams consisting of senior engineers, telecom specialists, field service engineers, customer service representatives, configuration specialists, subcontractors, and construction and facilities engineers.

Managed $27 million Cairo International Airport ITS project responsible for the installation and operation of 14 airport systems in this new airport. This was the biggest airport project with respect to the number of ARINC systems deployed. Represented ARINC with government aviation officials, and to the customer, Cairo Airport Company. Negotiated with customer, subcontractors, and vendors on various contracts and change requests. Managed the project office and engineering staff. Responsible for project scheduling, site coordination, testing coordination, financial duties, and project turnover/close. (2007 – 2009).

Doha, Qatar

Provided project management and design support on the New Doha International Airport project (NDIA) on-site in Qatar. Participated in customer interface meetings, design meetings, team planning sessions, and provided input to project status reporting for the customer. Directed the submission of the design work at both the 60% and 90% levels to the customer.
