I'm a postdoc at BU and MIT researching platform governance and free speech. I founded and run SimPPL, a nonprofit rebuilding digital trust. We launched a tech spinout incubated at MIT from this nonprofit. I'm an Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leader, Google Research Innovator, a Belfer Fellow, and an Affiliate at the non-profit All Tech is Human. I got my Ph.D. at NYU’s Center for Data Science working on machine learning and causal inference with applications to social media and politics at CSMAP. I worked on graph neural networks at Adobe and CERN, developed and deployed a deep learning library for particle physics into production, and built automated "deception" features into an award-winning cybersecurity product. I also host a statistics reading group and mentor undergrads on the weekends since 2017.I've led projects at CERN, IIT Bombay, Microsoft Research, Stanford University, and startups in the fields of artificial intelligence, marketing analytics, and cybersecurity, catering to a list of Fortune 50 clients. I am passionate about knowledge transfer and mentorship. My past venture, Unicode, is an attempt to encapsulate a 'summer of code' paradigm for a set of sophomores mentored by junior and senior-year undergraduate students. Our program alumni, now at Ivy Leagues and MANGA companies, have been extremely active, receiving laurels nationally and internationally!
