Design Engineer
Current* Created manufacturing specific 3D models/assemblies and drawings of sheet metal components in NX as per Client standards* Prepared installation drawings of vehicle sub systems and bill of materials as per design specification.* Working closely with relevant internal engineers and external partners to resolve engineering issues.* Concept design preparation based on requirement and sharing with horizontal to complete detail design, layout checking and confirming it meets the targets and release in system* Change the product CAD as per engineering request and update the manufacturing drawings accordingly.* Worked for generating concepts for new lightweighting project to reduce weight of vehicle to accommodate EV chassis.* Responsible for quality checks & quality assurance using customized checklists for customer deliverables.* Planning and co-ordination of day-to-day activities involved in the project assigned including discussion related to queries, project status, schedule, priorities.* Managed & executed multiple design projects with onsite/offshore model which involves additional responsibility of scheduling work to team, mentoring team, create standards design guidelines for design, training program for new team members to reduce the turnaround time for delivery and improve the efficiency
