Overview:- Schedule product shipments from source to destination.- Place shipping requirement to chartering in time.- Nominate ships to the buyers/discharging terminals as per the contractual terms.- Appoint Quantity & Quality Surveyors and Agents at Loadport/Disport for TC/VC vessels according to requirement.- Ensure entire loading and discharge operations are done as per needs and in timely manner.- Ensure best utilisation of Time Chartered vessels.Key Accountabilities:-- Implementation of Contracts (Purchase / Sales/ Traded) Pre-shipment - Scrutiny of contracts, nomination of dates / quantity for cargo and nomination of vessel, preparation activities (payment security, documentation, insurance, surveying / agency appointment, etc.) Post-shipment - Scrutiny and circulation of relevant documents, surveying, payment coordination, claims coordination - dead freight, cargo shortage, quality issues- Implementation of Carriage Contracts (Charter Party) Issuing of voyage instructions, nomination of shipping agents, tracking of vessel positions, coverage by P&I, appointment of inspectors for ROB survey, issuing LoI to vessel owners, calculation of BTA (balance time available), coordination with planning / terminal for berthing of vessel, coordination for claims (dead freight, cargo shortage, ROB disputes)- MIS: Prepare MIS for demurrage, dead freight, product exports, ocean loss and TC vessel utilization

Major Projects:- High Purity Iso-Butylene Steam Superheater- Coker Vacuum Residue Heater- Relpipe-2 Plant at Hazira (Jio cable manufacturing plant)- Chlorinated PVC Plant at Patalganga- HVAC heat load calculations and equipment design- Centrifugal Pump design for various projects- Chiller designKey Responsibilities:- Review of FEED Documents (such as Process Inputs, Electrical Area Classification, P&IDs, Project Scope) and Technical clarification with client/End users.• Preparation of Mechanical Design Basis, Equipment List, Project Specifications, Scope of Work, Data sheets, Material Requisitions (Requisitions for Approval, Quotation and Purchase)• Material Selection and adherence to International Codes and Standards.• Technical offer review and queries / clarifications with vendors • Technical Bid Evaluation• Vendor Print Review of documents such as General Arrangement Drawings, Foundation drawings, Data-sheets, Cross section Drawings, List of Documents, Standard Procedures.• IDC Checks of P & ID, Plot Plan and Civil Foundation Drawings, etc.• Ensuring meeting deadlines.• Adherence to Quality Assurance System, Applicable ISO Procedures, Design Basis and other applicable Design Guides / Standards / Specifications• Participating in Technical Clarification Meetings, Kick off Meeting (KOM), Model Review and other Project Meetings.

As a Graduate Engineer Learner at Reliance, I learned the various aspects of Detail Engineering of several mechanical equipment such as Tanks (API 650), Pressure Vessels (BPVC), Centrifugal Pumps (API 610), Air Separation Packages and Air Conditioning Machines.Also underwent a two month construction training at their Dahej plant where I witnessed the erection of Captive Power Plant Boiler and Gas Turbine Units and learned about various aspects of design of these packages.

I worked with Schaeffler Group at their LuK India Pvt Ltd plant which was a clutch manufacturing unit located at Hosur, Tamil Nadu India.As a Graduate Engineering Trainee, I was put into the Technical Planning team in which I carried out modifications in the assembly line layout to reduce total assembly time, prepared cost sheets to determine the cost of production of various models of clutches and selected and procured machines for unique identification of each clutch assembly produced in the plant.
