- Support the CEO and VP of Engineering in all strategically significant technical decisions and actions.- Lead megawatt scale turbine generator power conditioning, protection, and power distribution system development effort:• Oversee technical efforts of BWP personnel and subcontractor efforts involved in design, manufacturing and testing of the generator, power conditioning and protection equipment, and any generator or utility interface hardware for single or multiple wind turbine installations• Specify and oversee engineering efforts, from equipment specification writing to system design documentation and testing for the wind turbine electrical system design and installation certification process• Perform industry standard electrical load and load transient analyses, document findings in reports, oversee the acquisition of test data needed to support UL and IEC system level certification• Support integration efforts of unique BWP generator and electrical system solutions and turbine design (short circuit analysis, torque transients, power quality, mechanical interfaces, structural interfaces, thermal management) • Lead testing of subcomponents, major components and full scale proof of concept turbine generator system to validate models, support all industry standard certification requirements, including modified requirements needed to recognize the unique BWP equipment technology.- Develop and manage subcontracts for testing, certification and fabrication.- Support and assist the business development associate in developing strategies and proposals for various funding opportunities. - Oversee and report on schedule and budget performance for the electrical system design, development and testing phases. This includes making specific recommendations to address conflicts (resources, scheduled key and milestone events) to avoid delays or cost overruns.

- Perform specialized engineering work in a variety of disciplines for the development of high-power (3 kW to 5MW) variable speed motor drives, solar power inverters, wind turbine converters, transmission systems and/or military power supplies.- Perform power electronics hardware design and component selection, electromagnetics design and assembly including transformers, inductors, etc., power module stack design, gate driver and protection circuit design, high voltage (upto 100KV) transmission system design. - Perform digital circuit design and component selection, printed circuit board schematic capture and layout in Protel DXP, digital signal processor embedded software development C using TI Code Composer Studio and PIC development environments, and Xilinx field programmable gate array VHDL programming. - Manage the design, development, construction, testing and evaluation of complex electrical products and prototype designs in order to ensure completion of project as efficiently and effectively as possible. Plan and accomplish goals. Lead and direct the work of others.
