I did my PhD in Marine microbiology at National Institute of Oceanography, regional Centre Visakhapatnam. I have submitted the thesis and waiting for thesis defense. As part of the PhD work, I studied both cultural and molecular diversity (16S rRNA amplicon sequencing) of total and pathogenic bacteria from anthropogenically influenced marine coastal regions of Bay of Bengal. I also studied antibiotic resistance in potential pathogenic bacteria strains and through whole genome metagenome sequencing.Currently, I am working as a project scientist at Centre for Marine Living Resources, Kochi, Kerala India. The current work objective is to find out the effect of Ocean Acidification on bacterial abundance, community and respiration.I am looking for a Post-Doctorate position in the field of marine microbiology involving metagenomics which will further strengthen my knowledge in the field and add to my CV.
