Swarnima Shrestha is a Communications professional with above ten years’ experience in the field. She has a master’s degree in Development Communications and English Literature.With proven expertise in Development Communications and a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organizations, the area of her expertise includes drafting communications and outreach strategy and plan, emergency communications, branding, proposal development, media and event management, and capacity building to list a few. She recently completed the prestigious international Atlas Corps fellowship as Communications and Fundraising Fellow at International Action Network for Gender Equity and Law (IANGEL) in San Francisco Bay Area.She has worked with organizations like UNICEF, UNCDF, Equal Access and Practical Action amongst others. Being involved in different organisations and a variety of projects, provided her with an opportunity to understand different social issues faced by the country. She has traveled to most remote parts of the country to implement and monitor various communication initiatives. Apart from the regular employment, she is also involved in social sector through volunteer and advocacy activities. She is a charter member and Past President of Rotaract club of Baneshwor Royal, an international volunteer based youth club supported by Rotary. She is also a founding member of Snowyak Foundation, which helps to support the education of marginalized children in the remote part of upper Dolpa region of Nepal.
