VMware Responsibilities • Monitoring VMware Machine through VROPS• Installing Linux and windows OS, Maintaining and troubleshooting on Virtual machines • Build, configure and deploy VMs and templates. Completed Physical-to-Virtual (P2V), Virtual-to-Virtual (V2V) and Virtual-to-Physical (V2P) migration of Windows 2012 & 2008• VM server build& rebuild(Deploying the new VM from the Template and cloning an Existing VM)as per the client request through change management process• Performing Snapshots, cloning, cold migrations, and hot migrations• Creating templates from VM’s from templates and allocates resources. Creating duplicate VM’s using cloning technology• Moving VM’s from one LUN to another LUN using storage V Motion. Performance tuning of VMware servers, virtual sessions and management of server resources between virtual machine• Root Cause & system Log Analysis and reporting. Troubleshooting problems with the help of event logs and Manage task, events and alarms• Ability to install, configure devices in Data center• Experience on different Raid controllers(External, software) and different Raid levels(R0, R1, R5, R10)• Managing DRS cluster in VMWARE environment• Replacing hardware devices faulty devices in DatacenterWindows Responsibilities• Day to day management and maintenance of the MS Windows server environment. DHCP, DNS, AD, Backup Server, Antivirus and File Servers...Etc• Managing Windows clustering• Taking up the user email client issues and login into their servers. Troubleshooting LAN • Installed, Configured & troubleshooting All Windows version Servers• All the new Software’s / Hardware’s / Upgrades / Patches / Service Packs are tested on the test environment to ensure that the production is not affected• Installed, Configured & troubleshooting of antivirus server configured with McAfee • Resolving user problems with in SLA .Take over all ownership of all user calls logged and ensuring resolution of calls within SLA
