Project objective- Behavior characterization in fatigue of stator materials in a progressive cavity pump- Identified fatigue test protocol- Conducted oligiocyclic fatigue tests under ambient and corroded environment for the materials under consideration.- Realized residual stress of the specimens before and during fatigue loading by x-ray diffraction method to determine the nature of residual stress.- Performed microstructure analysis of materials to observe the influence in fatigue loading- Conducted hardness tests of the materials and examined the variation of hardness profiles of the materials.=> Result: Provided detailed report concluding the best material with the least dispersion in terms of endurance limit to use in PCM Vulcain pumps.
