Objective/Scope: Managing systems retirement of several applications to ensure organization's cost saving by - 1. sun-setting the applications, 2. ensuring data integrity, retention (business and legal) and reporting needs of historic data and data archiving,3. decommissioning of application infrastructure As the customer appointed Project Manager ensuring system retirement's smooth flow and adherence to strict timelines for full utilization of cost savings through IT application and/or infrastructure decommissioning.

Design and development of UK Based Leading Risk Brokerage firm's new Policy and Placement Management System for Insurance Brokerage in the European Middle Market segment. The key focus of this project was to address challenges with its existing platform, to align it with the customer's enterprise architecture standards, and to enhance functional coverage.Scope/Objective: Design and Development of an easy-to-use, role-based-access, online, web-based, OLTP application (based on MVC architecture).Managed the project through all its phases as a senior ML and was instrumental in the Project Management Plan and all its Subsidiary document preparation / base-lining as well as technically designing the workflows and developing the complex ones.

Maintenance as well as Enhancement project, aimed at supporting and enhancing the V-System application catering to US based leading insurance company’s group based retirement service products (mainly annuity products and mutual funds as well). Collections of application were deployed on IBM mainframe environment (with IMS-DB as main database and IMS-DC as main mainframe online transaction processor) that needed to be continuously enhanced and supported. Frequently new applications (capital projects) needed to be developed.As the Module Leader of V-System, was involved in Management activity as well as Development, Designing and Enhancement of the existing system.

Major enhancement project to incorporate Mutual Fund and State Specific reporting needs into existing V-System application catering to US based leading insurance company’s group based retirement service products. Combination of IBM Mainframe based core transaction processing system and a mix of Mainframe and Open system based reporting.As the Technical PL analyzed and designed both IBM Mainframe based COBOL / IMS-DB & DC applications and Open System (Windows as well as Unix) reporting applications including Oracle tables design as part of State Reporting Migration project.

The Maintenance, Enhancement & Support project was aimed at supporting and enhancing the existing Vantage based applications that were catering to individual, non-qualified variable annuity business in Japan. Collections of application have been deployed on IBM mainframe environment in US that needs to be continuously enhanced and supported. Periodically new applications needed to be developed.As the Module Leader of Vantage Module and the Agency Commission Module, was involved in Resource Management as well as Technical Development, Designing and Enhancement of the existing system.

The State Expansion Project was aimed to enhancing leading US based Insurance Companies existing auto line of business to multiple states including NJ and NY. Collections of application were developed/redesigned and deployed on IBM mainframe environment.As the Technical Project Lead, self was involved in Design and Enhancement of the Underwriting System and developing several Batch as well as Online applications and also BMS-Maps for the Marketing/Underwriting and Policy Inforce System.

The Legacy Support project was aimed at supporting and enhancing US based leading insurance company’s existing auto line of business applications that were catering to California, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Texas states. Collections of application were deployed on IBM mainframe environment that needed to be continuously enhanced and supported. Periodically new applications needed to be developed.Self was the Module Leader of Marketing/Underwriting Module and was involved in Development, Designing and Enhancement of the existing system.

The Legacy Support project was aimed at supporting and enhancing US based leading insurance company’s existing auto line of business applications that were catering to California, Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Texas states. Collections of application were deployed on IBM mainframe environment that needed to be continuously enhanced and supported. Periodically new applications needed to be developed.As the main developer of Marketing/Underwriting Module, was involved in Development, Designing and Enhancement of the existing system.
